Other civilizations will emerge from mists of rumor and confusion and occupy the foreground of our awareness. Identity will continue to be impacted, changing the definition of what it means to be human at a faster and faster pace. Already we are cyborgs, running on plastic joints, putting implants into our heads and hearts, augmenting and enhancing our capacities. This is the last generation on earth to be merely born, not made. Our relationship to technology is symbiotic, flesh into steel, chips into brains. New possibilities are continually disclosed and enabled.
